Wearing White in Autumn

Saturday, 25 May 2019

I would say white is my favourite colour … Is it even considered a colour? That’s probably debatable.  However, I think there is something classic, calming and refreshing about white and it is one of those colours that can transition into any season making it a good colour staple to have in your wardrobe. White is not just a spring or summer colour, don’t be afraid to wear it into the colder months too.
When wearing all white, experiment with different shades or textures to add contrast and tones to your outfit. Think a cream, chunky knit tucked into white trousers or that same chunky knit over a white dress with black ankle boots on a cold winter morning.

I love a pair of comfy jeans but trading in your old denims for a cream, ankle pair like these can instantly make your outfit more classic and boujee. Tuck in a white shirt, roll up the sleeves and slip on a pair of low heels and you don’t have to compromise on comfort for style, you can have both!
For me, I find accessorising with neutrals like a basket bag, or nude heels keeps your outfit looking more classic and can take you from brunch to cocktails with ease. If you want to make more of a statement, add a bold necklace or pair of earrings. Here I wore a layered gold necklace to complete my look.
